Thank you to Oracle Support for your series leading up to International Women's Day! Oracle Support's manager, Jodie, sat down with Suzette, our Service Operations Manager, and asked about a woman who has inspired her. May we all be women who inspire and uplift each other up in our community! We also loved being featured with Aunty Lisa Chapman from Kiama & Shoalhaven Community Colleges ๐ŸŒบ

Yesterday, the ROCC for Women team and Board were grateful to spend time on Country at Vincentia with Aunty Lisa from Kiama & Shoalhaven Community Colleges. Aunty Lisa generously shared her knowledge with us, guiding us through bush tucker, local totems, and stories that deepened our understanding of Country, culture, and connection. It was a grounding and meaningful experience that invited reflection, learning, and respect. Time on Country like this is an important reminder of the responsibility we hold as a service; to listen, to learn, and to continue strengthening how we walk alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women in ways that are culturally safe, informed and respectful. We remain committed to ongoing learning and to working in partnership with community to support the best possible outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, guided by culture, connection, and self-determination. Thank you, Aunty Lisa, for your generosity, wisdom, and care in sharing this space with us. ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ–คโค๏ธ

ROCC for Women loved joining the Vinnies team today for a community BBQ, held in partnership with Southern Cross Housing in a local social housing community. These monthly catch-ups are such a meaningful way to connect -sharing a meal, a chat and some company with residents in a relaxed and welcoming space. We look forward to being there each month to support residents, offer a friendly face and provide information, guidance, or warm referrals to services when needed. Community connection matters, and weโ€™re grateful to be part of it. ๐Ÿ’› Thank you, Vinnies Australia and Southern Cross Housing for inviting us to partner with you!
