Important information.
Shoalhaven Womens Resource Group Ltd (SWRG) trading as ROCC for Women (ROCC) has an opportunity for an experienced case worker to join our dedicated and energetic team for up to 4 days per week. The applicant must have at least a Certificate IV Community Services or Mental Health or equivalent qualification with transferable skills or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in case management.
ROCC provides long-term case management for women 18 years and over who have had contact with the criminal justice system and/or where alcohol or other drugs is impacting negatively on their lives, who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or their tenancy is at risk. Our case management is trauma informed and offers tailored, flexible supports and a wraparound, holistic approach for women.
SWRG considers being a woman is a genuine occupational qualification for this position under s31 of the Anti-discrimination Act 1977 (NSW)

Emotions are part of everyone’s life! Understanding and managing emotions is an important skill for building healthier relationships at home and at work.
As a member of a small group in a relaxed environment you will have the opportunity to explore:

how events can trigger different feelings for each of us
how emotions can influence our actions
how the expression of our emotions can impact our important relationships
understanding anger and grief responses.

Shoalhaven Womens Resource Group trading as ROCC for Women (ROCC) wishes to fill two casual vacancies on its Board. Based in Nowra on the NSW South Coast, ROCC provides long-term case management for women 18 years and over who have had contact with the criminal justice system and/or where alcohol or other drugs is impacting negatively on their lives; who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or have an at-risk tenancy. ROCC’s case management is trauma informed and offers tailored, flexible supports and a wraparound, holisitic approach for women.
ROCC is governed by a Board of volunteers, appointed for three year terms. Having appointed its first CEO in 2021, ROCC is currently going through a period of growth and transformation. To assist with this, we are looking for Board members who:
- Are passionate about providing community services for women
- Have experience in business, finance, accounting, or as a CFO or equivalent; or in fundraising and developing income streams
- Have experience in governance, including sitting on for profit or not for profit Boards
- Are willing to work closely with the CEO and other Board members on development of policy and process
Experience working at a senior level in welfare organisations or the community sector is welcome, but is not essential. Previous experiences as a Board Chair would also be well regarded.
The Board currently meets every second month in the evenings, usually virtually, with occasional circular resolutions between meetings. Board members will also be required to attend an annual in person strategy day in Nowra.
