A huge thank you to Homelessness Nsw with funding from Homes NSW, for supporting so many people working in homelessness services to undertake Lead Auditor Training through Swinburne University of Technology. Our Service Operations Manager, Suzette, has been participating and has really valued the opportunity to deepen her understanding of the Australian Service Excellence Standards (ASES) and the auditing process. ASES accreditation is a vital requirement for Specialist Homelessness Services (SHS), ensuring that organisations like ours are delivering safe, high-quality, and client-centred services. 🌿 ROCC for Women on Country 🌿 Earlier this week, our clients and staff had an amazing day on Country with Aunty Lisa from Kiama & Shoalhaven Community Colleges. We spent the day at beautiful Callala Bay, where Aunty Lisa generously shared her deep knowledge of local Aboriginal culture and prepared a delicious meal using local ingredients. With around 40% of ROCC for Women clients identifying as Aboriginal women, it’s incredibly important to us to honour, value and connect with local Aboriginal culture through experiences like this.
